HUNTER hunter App

HUNTERhunter features up-to-the-minute information on the newest additions to the scene, as well as uncovering some of the region’s best-kept secrets and hidden gems.
Following the success of the website, Fiona and Alissa engaged Headjam to design and develop the HUNTERhunter app.
Objective
To improve the accessibility of HUNTERhunter by allowing users to gain full access to the publication’s content in the palm of their hands, adding unique features only available on mobile devices such as geo-location tracking and social sharing.
Creative Solution
We developed the new HUNTERhunter application, with the intent of it being utilised as a location based tool for people around the Newcastle and Hunter region looking to find a great local hangout. It is geo-location specific; meaning the user can pull out their phone or tablet and see what’s around the corner. The smarts behind the app are really clever, as it automatically syncs with the HUNTERhunter website and its content for population. It has been developed to maximise fast load times and is super convenient for people out and about using a 3 or 4G connection.
