Benji Crocker
Designer
Benji first crossed paths with the Headjam team during a week-long placement while studying at the University of Newcastle. Since then his love for design has continued to grow along with his mullet.
At uni, Benji discovered his passion for brand identity and print design. Guided by our talented team surrounding him, he continues to refine and broaden his skill-set every day.
To me, design is where art and storytelling meet real-life. I love the exploration process. Trying idea after idea until I find that one that I know is just perfect for the client. It’s a special kind of satisfaction. I still get a bit giddy when I see things we’ve made in the wild.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Communication Design with Distinction from the University of Newcastle, was on the Faculty Commendation list every year of the degree and was awarded a Faculty Medal. His work as a student was recognised in the 2019 and 2020 AGDA Awards including a Distinction and Judges Choice in the Student Identity category. Along with this he also received an Undergraduate Award as the Global winner for Visual Arts.
When he’s not eating more than his share of the office snacks he’s drawing, painting, and staying up past his bedtime.
