Thomas is an award winning maker of short films, commercials, branded content, and music videos.

After graduating with a degree in communications, Thomas has spent over a decade as a writer, director and cinematographer with success in both the commercial and independent worlds.

His short films have been recognised by festivals like Flickerfest, Tropfest and more. His strong visual style and natural storytelling ability have been put to use by organisations like the ABC, CSIRO, Entertainment One, plus a long list of brands, universities, businesses, and artists.

In the same year one of his independent short films premiered at Flickerfest and won awards around the world, he was also nominated for a Mumbrella Comms Con award for a commercial collaboration with CSIRO and SBS. This diversity of skills and experience means that no matter the style or circumstances, Tom always finds the right tone to ensure our stories resonate and our ideas stick.

What do I love about film? I think the honest answer is, it ties together all the things I’m passionate about, as well as being a space for collaborating with people who have skills I admire.

Tom is a natural collaborator - passionate and full of ideas; someone who knows when to lead and when to listen. He believes that bringing out the best in people around him, both in front of and behind the camera, is the key to harnessing the unique power of film and video, this is also the most fun part of his job.

More than just a video guy, Tom loves writing, pitching, concept development, recording, mixing, photography, music, and just generally helping make things.

When he’s not making or watching films, you’ll find him in the surf, recording music, or on the basketball court.

His newest short film ‘Sex Lives’ just hit the festival circuit - it will make you squirm.
