Regional Development Australia (RDA) is a national network who work with all levels of government, business and community groups to support the development of regional Australia. RDA Hunter exists to encourage investment in the region, to promote the Hunter's competitive advantages and encourage new or existing businesses - Australian and International - to relocate their head offices to the Hunter, which is perfectly placed between the major Australian cities of Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. RDA engaged Headjam as their Creative Agency in 2012 to present in an engaging and digestible format the Hunter Region to South East Asia as a strategically advantageous location with first world infrastructure and a qualified workforce.
We turned traditional print-based long documents into a digestible infographic animation using illustration. The movement of the animation is based on using a centrally positioned circle as the pinnacle for graphical movement. Icons were drawn representing the different areas of content and these were translated across the printed elements of the campaign to create its ‘look and feel’. The statistics in the infographic explained to business the key benefits of moving to the Hunter region.
