This exhibition provides plenty of opportunities for enquiring minds of all ages to tinker with toys and learn about the science behind them. The exhibition was created to be a mobile ‘blockbuster’, and from December 2012 – February 2013 the exhibition came to the Newcastle Museum.
Excitingly the Newcastle Museum chose Headjam as their Advertising Agency to encourage new or existing Newcastle Museum visitors to come to the exhibition with their families, highlighting the all-ages appeal during the summer school holidays.
We developed a fun, colourful solution that presented a ‘hands on’ feeling and combined photographs with illustrations of toys to evoke nostalgia. The advertising campaign design and direction was applied to a range of media that included: website banners; social media; press advertising; and outdoor media advertising, including billboards, retail posters, brochures and local advertising flyers that were distributed throughout greater Newcastle. An online animation was also developed, and used to promote the event through Facebook and other sites.
