In 2012 Headjam were engaged by the Newcastle Museum team to help them create a vibrant and flexible shop that can be moved and packed away if the space is required for any other use. Headjam sourced products from many suppliers including, pens, magnets, pencils, badges, t-shirts, cups, mugs, USB sticks, note pads, pencil cases and many more goodies. We developed all the artwork for each product and project managed the creation of all shop collateral from start to finish, ensuring the Newcastle Museum's dream became a reality.

We have had the great privilege of collaborating with the Newcastle Museum as their Creative Agency since 2011 helping them reach over 200,000 visitors in their first year by designing and developing a series of local advertising campaigns to promote their traveling and permanent exhibitions.
In 2012 Headjam were engaged by the Newcastle Museum team to help them create a vibrant and flexible shop that can be moved and packed away if the space is required for any other use.
Headjam sourced products from many suppliers including, pens, magnets, pencils, badges, t-shirts, cups, mugs, USB sticks, note pads, pencil cases and many more goodies. We developed all the artwork for each product and project managed the creation of all shop collateral from start to finish, ensuring the Newcastle Museum's dream became a reality.
During this process we collaborated with long time Headjam friend Jason Elsley from Derive Design who was engaged to Architecturally design the shop and all it's components. We aided this process by developing signage with minimal clean lines to reflect the very smart and practical vision.
To aid the Newcastle Museum's staff in Visual Merchandising Headjam used our knowledge of design principals to create a Visual Merchandising manual and system that showed staff how to display products and merchandise in a way that encourages additional sales, interaction and intrigue with their products.
Showcasing local artists, crafts and Newcastle Museum branded items the shop is a huge success. Go look for yourself!
