In Australia, laws protect a patient's rights to have information they share with doctors and healthcare providers kept private. The problem Headjam were presented with is that young people and adolescents may not realise they have the right to request to see a doctor or healthcare worker in confidence.
HNEPH engaged Headjam as the Creative Agency to design and develop an informative brochure to inform young people of their right to confidential healthcare. In line with our target audience, the design for these brochures and posters is loud and bold. The brochures also include a quick STI-risk checklist the young person can complete and hand to their nurse or doctor to arrange an STI check without having to voice their request. The brochures have only recently been placed in GP clinics and are currently quite a contrast to the traditional-looking materials competing in the same environment!
