Cooks Hill Galleries (CHG), situated in Newcastle's CBD, is a contemporary art space established by Mark Widdup in 1975. For over 35 years CHG has represented a solid stable of quality artists, and exhibited regularly for the benefit of artists and the wider community. Mark had a vision to expand from his Cooks Hill premises to an online gallery. Headjam delivered a solution, integrating CHG’s art stockroom with a custom-built database that automatically populates the online gallery. The beauty of this e-commerce site is in the range and quality of artworks for sale and the ease of navigation and site function. CHG now prides itself on having one of largest and most comprehensive online galleries in Australia. The stable of artists’ work as well as resale art is completely accessible to view. CHG has a new brand identity to connect it with a young and passionate generation of art lovers and to refresh and enliven the gallery space for artworks.
