Background

Headjam were engaged to create the ‘Support A Mate’ brand and build a website which would be the hub for local events encouraging farmers and the community to get together and support the community.

Objective

To provide a platform for rural farmers and communities to discuss and support each other, and to promote local events that are happening in various locations around the country.

Creative Solution

When designing the Brand for Support A Mate we kept in mind the need to be authentic and ‘real’ – not created by city slickers. The design needed to provide cut-through, as in most cases it is the key part of the communication. While the brand is ‘Rural Outreach – Support A Mate’, the emphasis needed to be on ‘Support A Mate’ as it sums up the program, is memorable and is a clear articulation of what the brand was aiming to achieve. When designing the printed material and website, we aimed to communicate the support and services SAM provide to rural communities, farmers and their families.
